Run by InvestHK, GFT is the flagship matchmaking programme for using Hong Kong as a launchpad into Asia. It offers business matching, one-on-one meetings with corporates and investors, mentorship and market-entry support; shortlisted companies also run live product demonstrations on site at Hong Kong FinTech Week before global audiences, corporates and investors.

For startups and scaleups planning to use Hong Kong as a launchpad into Asian and international markets. For 2026 the programme covers, for the first time, eight verticals, and applicants should fit one of them. It is a two-way hub: helping global startups enter Asia via Hong Kong while supporting Hong Kong and Mainland companies expanding internationally.

How it works

• Apply online: applications opened 4 May 2026 and close 25 September 2026.
• Online Market Readiness Programme (new in 2026): a virtual pre-event track of closed-door discovery sessions, roundtables and expert-led coaching covering investor engagement, corporate collaboration, the Hong Kong market landscape, regulatory and licensing considerations, and pitch refinement.
• Grand finale: shortlisted companies run live product demonstrations and pitching at Hong Kong FinTech Week x StartmeupHK 2026.
